ICE FISHING DERBY CANCELLED

Due to poor ice conditions the Winterfest Ice Fishing Derby has been cancelled.

Poor readings for ice measurement and the unusually warm weather last couple of weeks has comprimised ice conditions.

But please do join us for all the other fun activites happening this Saturday January 14th at our annual Winterfest!

For all those advid antlers we who too see you at the Water Festival Fishing Derby July 28th!

Just one week away from Canada Day and we are gearing up for some great fun & entertainment.

“Rango” a G-rated family movie will be our featured presentations.

It’s an all-day affair of fun and excitment today and you won’t want to be anywhere but here in beautiful Chestermere, Alberta as we enjoy the annual Water Festival! And be sure not to miss these favourite activities!

Lake Tours Hop aboard one of our vessels for a free of charge tour of Chestermere Lake. Sponsored by Tru Nortth Marine, join Captain Hooper as you learn about our beautiful lake first hand in an up close and personal tour which runs ever 20 mins deployed from Anniversary Park today and running 11am – 4pm.

Captain Jack Back by popular demand, your little ones won’t want to miss masterful children’s entertainer Captain Jack as he dazzles them with his playful antics. The show starts at 1:30pm in the Kids Zone. Also in the Kids Zone throughout the day, you’ll find Face Painting, Bouncy Structures, balloon animals, games and much more!

Winterfest Fishing Derby Cancelled

Please be aware that due to the poor condition of Lake Ice, we are cancelling the Fishing Derby. Town Administration asks all residents to stay off the ice until further notice.

Winterfest this Weekend!

Come on out this weekend, January 16-17, 2010, as we Celebrate in Olympic Style! Many great events including the Kids & K9 Dash (a family dog sled race), the Polar Bear Dip, Children’s Craft, Ice Skating, Olympic Rings Challenge, Snow Mountain, and more!

Be sure you don’t miss out on all the fun as we gear up to welcome the Olympic Torch!
